What If? Publishing is thrilled to announce A Thrifty Good Life, Sara Sailer’s first published work, has been selected as a finalist for the prestigious Benjamin Franklin Book Award. There were 1,400 submissions this year for the award and we were a finalist in the Home and Garden category.

A Thrifty Good Life is a collection of stories and how-to’s from Sailer’s unlikely journey into urban homesteading. “I never expected that moving compost and growing vegetables would become a passion, but I accidentally fell in love with this simple, homegrown life. I’m now convinced, it’s the richest life there is.”

A Thrifty Good Life was published by What If? Publishing in November 2016. Sailer and the What If? Publishing team will be traveling to Portland Oregon on April 7, 2017 to attend the Awards ceremony.
